Connected devices in IoT (Internet of Things) environment produce small-sized, but huge amount of data. However, traditional Hadoop based system has a limitation for processing big data which consist of large number of small-sized data, because Hadoop system performs block-level operation.
From that reason, we will improve analytic DBMS, a special kind of DBMS which stores big data for analytic purposes. We are developing “ADDB (Analytic Distributed DBMS)”, an in-memory, distributed version of analytic DBMS based on flash memory storage.
